CMS quickstart
Author pages and posts, spin up custom content types, and manage media in the WordSafe CMS.
CMS quickstart
The WordSafe CMS covers everything WordPress delivers through Elementor, ACF, and CPT UI combined — but shipped as one calm dashboard.
Pages vs posts vs custom post types
| Type | Use for | Where to find it |
|---|---|---|
| Pages | Evergreen marketing pages, landing pages | Content → Pages |
| Posts | Blog articles, news, updates | Content → Posts |
| Custom post types (CPT) | Products, listings, case studies, anything else | Content → your type |
Create a page
- Open Content → Pages and click New page.
- Give it a title. The slug is derived automatically and can be edited.
- Compose with the block editor. Autosave runs every few seconds.
- Fill in the SEO panel (meta title, description, canonical, social image).
- Click Publish — or Save draft and schedule it for later.
Spin up a custom post type
Custom post types let you model any structured content — Products, Listings, Case Studies, Menu Items — without a plugin.
- Open Content → Post types → New post type.
- Name it (singular + plural, e.g.
Product/Products) and pick an icon. - Choose what it supports: title, featured image, taxonomy, SEO.
- Save. A new item appears in the Content menu with its own list and editor.
See the deep-dive: Custom post types.
Add custom fields
Attach structured data to any content type with repeaters, flexible content, and options pages — no ACF Pro license required.
Open Content → Custom fields → New field group, target a post type, and add fields. They appear in the editor sidebar automatically.
Media library
All uploads go to Media. Folders, per-folder permissions, storage quotas, drag-and-drop uploads, and automatic image optimization (WebP, responsive sizes) are built in.
